I gave up and picked up a Sequoia a week or so ago. Didn't want to wait 12 plus months. Now to go get my deposit back. Placed a deposite back in oct. or nov '23. Dealer has been dead silent ever since. As someone said earlier. The excitement and hype has subsided. If the dealer kept me in...
I've found a local dealer who doesn't do markups. I'm on the waitlist, but the list is long. Other dealers promise quicker results but will add 5-10k in markup. I'll wait, on principle alone. Would be hard to enjoy a product that you know you had to bend over and get the shaft for.
I may have to switch from Longo to Carlsbad. I'm around #393 at Longo. Also, I asked for a premium plus or luxury. But I may have to downgrade to just premium if they add on 10k worth stuff I don't want. I think some one ordered an Over Trail and was told it would be $85k with port add on...
Absolutely. I've contacted a several and only one dealer near me do not charge a markup but has a long waitlist. The other dealers know it too and mention as much to me. I pretty much told them to get lost since I'm in no rush to get a new vehicle. I'm fine to wait and not pay an unknown...
Me too. I shouldn't have procrastinated. Couldn't make up my mind on which vehicle. Was considering the Sequoia for the hybrid power plant and larger size. But then I found out real world mpg is horrendous with that iforce max.
Got myself on the list at Longo Lexus. #393 Yikes! They didn't ask what trim I wanted but I'm shooting for Premium plus or Luxury... or whatever is there when my number gets called lol. So I guess sometime in June maybe. It's for the wife and her birthday is in June. So that might work out...
I think the power and driving differences will be neglegible. These are good size suvs and will drive as as such. I'd prefer having longer range on my trips. I'm not in a rush to buy, so am not willing to pay dealer mark up.
That's the thing though, the Land Cruiser premium (mid grade) would be right around 65k. I might take that over the GX premium since I like the turbo 4 hybrid more. My other concern is dealer mark ups. Any thoughts on that front?
I think that hump is only a concern if you want a 3rd row. Otherwise, I don't think it's too bad. Also, I would prefer the turbo 4 hybrid for the mpg and much better range. I may end up with the LC because of that... and price of the GX. It would be a toss up for me if the GX premium lands...
Unfortunately, that also said "approx" price. So it's really is up in the air at this point. That takes me out too. Was hoping to score a GX premium + for about 72K OTD. Fingers and toes crossed!
