Our 80 Series light turns on with 5 gallons left. Good for about 60-70 miles @ 12-14 mpg. Guessing GX has a similar reserve of 60-70 miles @ 15-17 mpg.
Based on my fill ups, believe there should be about 3.5 -4 gallons once the light goes on. We had our meter noting 43 miles left (avg was 19.4) and the tank took 15 gallons at the fill up. I don't think there is a way to change the setting unless you get into the code for the software.
I just received ours from here. Fits well and folds/twists nice. Fits between passenger seat and console easy.

I have a new set of the Baja Boss AT's on our 80 series. Super meaty up close in person. Roll nice but do have more of a light note and some times take a bit to "warm up" before smoothing out. I like the full range spec of the tire.
I'm glad they invested and took a risk to build the GX they did. Maybe by purchasing they will continue to expand this market. The housing market is now similar. If you find a desirable home that many want and offer asking price you "may" get outbid. Sometimes fair is not reality.
Great plan on the build. Ours will serve a similar double duty but I have an 80 for Overland / trail use now. Would love to repeat out Alpine loop and UT travel in the GX some day. A 285/70R18 is 33.7". That may be a good step on the OT wheels. Love the CO trail pic's.
That's a good option to keep it stock and gain some clearance. I did the same on our 80 series and have been impressed with its performance. I upgraded tires to offset going bigger than the 33's.
Agree with post above about blips and warnings, but if you embrace the tech and spend a good amount of time reading the stuff makes sense. Lots of configurations as well in the OT+. I enjoy the sport+ suspension, steering and engine notes on both on/off ramps. Normal and comfort for highway...
Just returned for a 5 day 600 mile trip. We were able to net 21-23 mpg on multiple 90+ mile stretches. Cruising around 70 with and with our the cruise on. At the last fill up the range meter noted 43 miles (about 2gal), filled up with 15 gallons. So the reserve looks to come on with about 4...
Same camp hear with mounting our Yakima bike rack which had a threaded pin and lock. I used a longer pin I found kicking around but had to ditch the lock and rack stabilizing. I wrapped the rack with 2 wraps of the 1" wide silicone stretch tape in two places to minimize movement.
You'll love the color in person! When test driving you may want to turn off the traffic and stop assist option as it can make it respond funny in the stop and go if you are actually trying to drive it. Same with the lane assist. Try the drive mdes by just turning the dial. It will come up...
Interesting on the cargo net. My wife has used it for groceries and I for other items. It actually works great if you do have things to store and keep from rolling forward. The net is held vertical up next to the gate by 4 hook points and can be accessible with long arms by opening just the...
Welcome. Agree on not seeing many around. The GX is a great driver. Put the windows down and open the sun roof and plant your arm on the window sill. The little angle added in the trim on the door is super comfortable cruising with your arm resting on it once the glass is out of the way. Enjoy!
Good to hear Lexus is sourcing a longer hose to fix. Zip tie has held so far. If doing at home it should be added to give a bit more compression to the upper end fitting where gravity wants to allow it to slide off.
Yes, likely the root of the problem. If it stays on and works as it is now I'll leave it be. If not, a slightly longer hose would be better. Glad you made use of the photos to get it fixed.
I'm guessing based on my 19 mpg avg that the system uses the (avg recorded mpg) * 16 gallons to get the number on the range meter at fill up. That then leaves you with 5 gallons (75-100 miles) once the fuel gas light turns on. Our 80 series with 25 gal tank has the fuel light come on with 5...
Seat now working again. Tube slipped off. Maybe it was a bit short to begin with. Also there are no barbs holding in place so added a zip tie. Maybe ok to just push hose back up fully. If this is how dealers are fixing it may be worth adding the zip tie if the problem comes back. I spent...
My passenger side on the OT+ just went out at 900miles. Seems to work a little, I can feel something but not close to how it was. Will see about fixing it.
We drove both. The LC interior materials do not compare. It seemed ok before we tested the GX OT. I also noted the larger 9" rear differential in the GX which is in keeping with the old 80 series vs the 8" diff in the new LC which is same as a 4Runner. Rear battery in LC area would not work...
