I used Ultrafit XP wrap and really love it. DFW Clear Bra in the Dallas area is a fantastic shop and did bumper to bumper coverage of all panels and trim.
Does anyone know how to reduce the amount of engine braking when letting off the accelerator? When on the highway and you want to coast, it often aggressively engine brakes (activating rear lights). It makes me nervous, since it can be strong, but also looks like I am brake checking people...
We have a '22 Defender and an 550 OT+. Love both of them! We have had a few weird issues on the Defender, including lots of dash rattling and constantly low on coolant. It's nice and smooth, but really love the GX feel better. Feels more solid.
I followed one of the suggestions in another thread around pulling off the black plastic strip under the front of the rack and that did help a lot. It still makes noise, but not as loud or consistent.
1. From what I've seen, only Apple Music and Amazon Music will work without phone. (i believe with active data plan) https://support.lexus.com/s/article/Integrated-Streaming-10848
2. See the bottom of page 155. https://assets.sia.toyota.com/publications/en/om-s/OM60U77U/pdf/OM60U77U.pdf
This is only a setting that the dealer has to setup. By default it will not roll down all windows from the fob. Just had mine done when it was in the dealer for the massaging seat issues.
Another setting they can do is update the rear gate to not close on a timer, rather it closes after it...
I let them know details about the sound and design. I also shared the comparison the dealer made between 2023 GX and all 550s with ML. Empty speaker compartments, lack of full sound etc. They had heard this before.
I just got off the phone with Lexus again and she documented everything for Lexus Corp to review. She did say that anyone with similar concerns should call in to document as well. I think this is the only way they could ever truly produce a resolution/fix to make it better.

Does anyone know the voice command to turn the massage seats on without the 10 clicks in the instrument panel? I keep trying various things and nothing has worked. Can't find online either.
Well, not my favorite news. Dealer said all speakers are working as designed. They did help me mess with the settings where I would have never guessed would have improved the overall sound. I also made them give me the speaker map, so that others can see where each is located, etc. At this...
They are keeping my car and will check the speakers, but they did recommend turning the Auto Sound Leveling off + not using Surround Sound option. It did get a little better. The sub is that lower speaker in the back tailgate, which wasn't making any noise when I showed them.
If they can't...
I am taking my car to the dealer this afternoon for same reason. Definitely missing 2 speakers in the rear seat doors, but I can only count 16 speakers and can't figure out where the remaining 5 would be hiding. All my sound comes from the front speakers, which has almost no bass. I sat in a...
I love my OT+, coming from a completely different experience, X5 M50. We also have a new LR Defender. I have to say my OT+ is my favorite to drive. My only complaints after 3 weeks of owning would definitely be the Mark Levinson system....awful. I haven't had anything fuel efficient in years, so...
I hate the factory roof rack on my new OT+. It looks good, but it's loud and annoying at highway speeds. I am going to get the Westcott rack soon.

I am getting my car wrapped right now and the shop didn't suggest the film over the windshield due to it would need to be replaced annually. That film can't last long because of wipers, etc.
As for insurance, MY insurance (USAA) covers the glass replacement, but not the expensive...
I'm about to get my GX wrapped tomorrow and slightly worried the location of the front and back radar sensors for cross traffic detection since they are located under painted areas getting covered. I hope it doesn't interfere or cause it to constantly go off.
