I wonder how much it will affect mileage? I guess I can see what I get over the next couple months and then compare it when I put it on the truck, but I'm afraid too many variables to really know (unless the impact was huge, which I can't imagine it would be).
Yes, just beefs up front/bottom and removes material that no doubt I'd bang into a rock or something. YMMV, but for me I think that it may be a nice compromise between stock and full-on winched front end. I have recovery gear, so hopefully will have a friend who can pull me (or me them) as...
EDIT of my questions on the front bumper: I now actually read the NYTOP materials, and they do say the approach angle is improved considerably, and the install instructions show how you leave the factory crash bar in place, and don't have to remove the upper part of the front of the GX to...
:)
I like the simple ones too. The NYTOP ones I think look ok. They have a bit of a pattern in the step, but it doesn't show weld marks, etc, which I don't like. If I hear some positive comments about NYTOP here I'll probably order theirs.
One question I haven't seen talked about much is whether installing bumpers like this do anything to negatively affect crash worthiness on highway? Is there any data/discussion of that to take a look at? I would guess minimalist replacement bumpers like the NYTOP one mentioned above might not...
I'm also interested in anyone with opinions on dealing with NYTOP as well. I'm thinking of ordering some things from them for my new GXOT.
Thanks,
Mark
Yes, that was the only option I saw too related to all weather mats for the OT. In looking at the builds other than the OT, each of them does have an option to add all weather floor mats, and that isn't an option on the OT, so I guess it is pretty obvious that they come with it. I just hadn't...
Can others with an OT+ or OT confirm whether they got the all weather floor mats? I didn't see any place to add them to the build, but I did add the cargo all weather mat. Getting mine in a couple days, so I guess I'll find out anyway soon :).
One thing that is important also is confirmation that you can use the slider as a lift point if needed. The Dissent site says yes to that I believe, waiting for word from NYTOP on that. I assume the answer will be yes. EDIT: NYTOP fellows just told me that their rock rails are definitely ok for...
Hi, here is link to their page that has the sliders for the LC250. They told me via an email that they are working on confirming fit for a GX550OT+.

Hi, getting my OT+ Tuesday, coming with running boards. I'd like to put proper rock sliders on it, but also want a step. The NYTOP and soon to be coming Dissent ones seem to have the relatively plain shape with flat top step that I like and also appear to be real sliders. Has anyone use NYTOP or...
Hi, I'm picking up my OT+ Tuesday. I'd like a roof rack but took the one I had off my Audi Q5 because I didn't like the extra wind noise. I would appreciate comments by those with racks about wind noise for reference.
Thanks,
Mark
