Hey Gnoel! I dug a bit further on tires. The OT is using Toyo Open Country A/T III 265/70r18 tires and they have a load rating of at least 2756lbs. (Open Country A/T III | The All-Terrain Tires for Trucks, SUVs and CUVs). IF I try to compare the comparable Toyo Highway Tire (Highway All-season...
We know the Luxury trims will be heavier from the start reducing trailer load capacity. IMO, towing comes down to 3 key areas: 1/Drivetrain 2/Chassis 3/Suspension. Let's assume for now the drivetrain is identical including all engine and transmission cooling, etc. We also suspect the Chassis...
I had two dealers tell me that most deposits where NOT on Overtrail+. I too am getting an OT+ w/Chateau. They told me there were ~40 ahead of me, but only 3-4 OT.
I think many will want a 3rd row AND the hybrid drive train. THIS is a real struggle with a solid rear axle and body on frame construction. I really considered a Sequoia, but the whole interior layout is really awkward at best. I think they want to learn from that debacle.
The 3-row GX’s also lose some floor depth to host the seats. Looks similar to the higher lift over of the LC with the battery storage needs. Imagine if you wanted a 3rd row AND a hybrid! Untenable at this point. I suspect the V6 hybrid (Tundra/Sequoia) will find its’ way into the LX while the...
@supersix After speaking with a couple dealers, they both are saying the same thing. At first, the allocations will not be custom ordered. They suspect they will get them largely pre-configured and mostly highly optioned. As they begin to show in the system, the dealer will let me know if it is...
Third row does not look removable. I too hated the Sequoia setup. In the photos of the 7 seaters you can tell that tried some slick photo angles and design of the load area trim. You can see there is ~4-5in of raised "floor" when the third row is folded down. If you look at the Overtrails you...
