Hey, I'll throw y'all a teaser. I'm picking up my GXOT at 11 this morning. It arrived yesterday and has not cleared the dealer service bays yet. Dealership is a "long" 2 miles away.
Yes, mine did change. I questioned my sales guy when I got the revised final and was comparing the original build to what I'd specified. Perhaps the final VIN reflects the port of entry, I dunno.
Oh, I didn't mention, my guy texted this morning and I can pick up my GX either tomorrow afternoon...
Curious to know how it plays out for you.
I caught mine in transit from the factory. If I had not asked questions about the options, then I’d never known. Once the port option was installed, it stayed. I’ve got a revised build w/ VIN and those items are removed.
Butler Lexus in Macon has been...
In the week prior, I gave my guy the color and interior choices and he called with an unallocated GXOT on April 19 and took my deposit. It's due in by July 9.
As soon as he got the build sheet, we went over the port installed options and deleted ones I did need: rack, rock rails and hitch ball...
Not sure where in Mid GA you are, but Piedmont National Forest off GA 83, near the Ocmulgee River had some decent access. It's a big horse riding area so be mindful of four-legged.
I've had 2 Toyota hybrids and they've been excellent, but that battery placement in the rear is totally unacceptable. Just hang the spare tire off the rear bumper and drop the batteries down under. Maybe go back to the swing out door. I might buy it then pending review of a transmission vs the CVT.
I texted my guy just now. My GX was due in by today, but it's been revised for July 8. My dealer has 22 GX in transit from Jville to Macon. Guess they needed a bigger truck or three.
One GX was unallocated a couple days ago, but it has since been snatched up and is off their web site once...
My Toyota and Lexus dealers are next to each other under the same ownership. I'm a known customer with 4 Toyotas purchased in the past. The dealer came up with a GX for me pretty quick, saying since I'm local to him (like 2 miles away) and he knows I'll be driving it locally and he get to...
Got notified this morning, my OT cleared the hold at the port and was in transit from Jacksonville. Due in here on Tuesday.
Yeah, think I can start getting excited now.
My sales guy texted and said their first group of GX550's were released from hold and are in transit from Jacksonville. Due on his lot July 2nd. We've been on the phone getting paperwork completed ahead of time. Got my daily ride sold to an old frat buddy. It's all in the pipeline!
I texted my sales guy and got this back. I'm in Macon, GA and the port is Jacksonville.
"We got some information Friday, but I was waiting on Lexus to confirm it. They said that they have received all the parts to fix and have a company hired to install. They said they will start implementing...
Here's what I did returning a faulty trailer tire to the dealer. Get hold of a small roll of shrink wrap from Staples or Home Depot. Wrap it. Go to Fed Ex or UPS and they'll print you a label with a tracking number (sent it to the buyer) and away she goes.
On May 6, my OT was still in the build phase. It was due in Jax on June 12. Scheduled at dealer on June 27. Mine was affected by the QC hold, so when it arrives is anybody's guess.
I've had 8 vehicles with moon roofs and never a leak. I appreciate opening the shade for extra cabin light. Popping it to vent fresh air isn't so bad either, especially in spring or fall.
The dealer gets charged back part of the loan origination fee if you pay it off in less than 4 months. If you do a loan through him, ask for something in return. He’s making $$$$ off the loan.
My 1K deposit was paid 4-19-24. I'm trying hard to keep liking this truck as much as I did when I made the decision to purchase. LR's might have been a choice if I had a dealer closer than Atlanta. I'm going to stick out the hold for 4 more weeks then decide if I'm still going forward with the...
I’m thinking my OT is on the 100 acre port lot at JAXPORT. If I was doing the scheduling, as soon as my dealer had a trailer load of allocated units there, that group would be pulled to the service bays for correction, then loaded for transport and sent on their way up I-95.
