Don't think I've shared on this particular thread .. so, this attachment is of a text that came from my salesguy on June 1.
I supposed I understand waiting on boat-loads of GX's to arrive in the USA and run them down the PIO line and fix them all at the same time in port. Then ship 'em on out...
I watched a Toyota mechanic's video and he advised: avoid high RPM and speeds in excess of 60-65, drive at varying speeds, and no hard use of brakes at least for 500 miles. Change oil at 1,000. He called it cheap insurance if you're planning on keeping it more than 5 years.
You've got a nice...
I've put PPF on my last 3 shiny Toyotas and I'm sure I'll wrap the leading edges and hood of the GX. Any work done through my local shop and not the dealer.
When I wash my 5 yr old RAV4 it's easy to see where impacts have landed and the paint was protected from chipping.
Ouch, if it happens, but I'd rather have my OT inspected and fixed now then the disappointment after the sale. So far, my sales guy hasn't been in contact.
I've seen all colors and they all look great, but I wanted more dramatic contrast than the gray offers. My unit will be Atomic two-tone/Chateau/Olive, but the Saddle Tan would have been just fine.
Wow, time to get excited, right? I hope that ship turns around and returns with mine.
My sales guy said "Your GX550 is still being built, It is still on track and scheduled to arrive in port on 6-12-24. After that it has a couple of inspections to go through and is set to arrived by 6-27-24"
My OT dealer build out sheet list this: Black Emblem with Roof Rack and Rock Rail.. I deleted tHe roof rack and rock rail and kept the black rear badge.
I've had roof racks for 40 years. They all make noise of some sort.
My OT had left the factory, on its way to the port (Jacksonville). I sat down with my sales guy, and as we went over the dealer build sheet, found out there was time to make changes to port installed options (POI).
I'll never...
A dealer demo hit his lot so I had to go take a look and test drive the other day. My sales guy and I got the dealer build out sheet for my unit. The unit has left the factory, but has not yet reached the port. I was able to make changes in the port installed options, which has saved me, nearly...
Appears I got lucky. My dealer offered an unallocated 550 Overland scheduled for mid-June delivery. He got my credit card over the phone real fast for an Atomic Silver, Chateau Olive, 5 seater. I'm in my 70's and feel like a kid before Christmas.
I want to do some traveling with my wife and...
