Could your rough feel be down to the 22” rim low profile tire setup on your Lux +? My wife’s Macan gives me that sense going from any of our other cars which have more sidewall.
OT & Lux + are the only trims with AVS and so far more OT trims are affected than the others. Reason I was thinking it has to be AVS vs other susp. components. We should know more if “sroberts” dealer pulls through with a solution. So far his dealer is the first I know of that’s trouble shot it...
Thanks for sharing. Sounds like “sroberts” dealer is diving in on a possible solution. Hopefully we can see his repair ticket also and that begins to shed light.
Agreed but shocking nonetheless. At least a dealer out there seems to have found a solution and others can now benefit. Key will be seeing/sharing the repair ticket so hopefully that happens.
Nope, both Earth and Atomic are metallics. I wanted to love Incognito but after seeing all the colors in person it quickly fell to the bottom of my list.
Sounds like the parts being replaced are: steering knuckle/upper & lower control arm/brake caliper/brake rotor. This would be absolutely insane if it turns out to be true! Well over $1k in defective parts.
Looks like a bad design followed by poor quality. Doubtful a new one of the same makeup will fair better. Great example of first model year issues that will require updating & improving. Thanks for posting it.
I was at a dealer in Mission Viejo CA when an OT arrived from Port Hold due to hood scratch repair caused by protective material. Looked fine and couldn’t find where it was polished out.
Well, I do have 25 yrs of suspension building experience and there’s only a few areas where “harshness & vibration” point. With tires & wheels / balancing being tried what’s left? Were you thinking A/C unit or ??
Yes, Based on whats being reported here. Hard to know for certain though until someone with the issue is able to correctly diagnose and fix it. Being an “adaptive type shock” this issue could be upstream
Either in the “mapping/programing” also.
You’re the perfect candidate to help sort this out. Good luck on the road trip. Based on your comment and others it seems like the compression stroke is locking up intermittently. Mine arrives in Sept and if by chance I’m feeling harshness in the stroke those shocks are going in the garbage...
I suppose tires are a possible cause but sure seems like “the easy way out” remedy vs finding the root cause. I’d have to re-read the thread to confirm but I thought tires/wheels had been swapped with no improvement?
Has anyone with the issue tried switching between “Comfort” and “Sport” modes while driving the same stretch of road? I’d be curious to know it there’s a noticeable difference from one extreme setting to the other.
