I wouldn't think there would be any gains for Lexus for doing it that way, but who knows. Lets see if this is done to any of the other vehicles and it fixes them before we jump to conclusions.
Perhaps they ballanced the tires again when they did the breaks, or rotated them? I would think it would show up on the work order if they did anything like that though.
I believe He mentioned that his service people were waiting for replacement break parts to be approved and sent from overseas. Not sure how the breaks would affect the ride, maybe they were somehow rubbing or grabbing while driving without being activated? They had mine in the port on hold for...
I think the part that has been hard is having two together at the same time. If it was an f250 with 10 on the lot it is easy to check. If there are 6 over trails in New England it’s much harder
That is a great idea. The difficulty, without doing this, is it is tough to know if all the issues are the same thing, or if they are all different. Is it really as bad as some say, or is it worse than some think. When I read that people on the board are upset their truck is 1/4" high on one...
May be transferable, but you will be very unlikely to get your money back on it if you sell. If you are going to keep it and you plan on always using your dealer for service it probably isn't a bad deal if you get it cheap enough.
Get a 4’ level. Drive onto a cement pad. Put the 4’ level on the ground to make sure the ground is level both left to right and front to back. Measure the left and right side of the hub space described above. As long as the measurements are under.59” different snap a picture from the back.
THat means the difference is basically just over 1/2 an inch. You would have to be looking pretty darn hard to ever be able to see 1/2 inch lean over a 7' wide car. I would measure it myself to make sure I agree with their measurements, but 1/2 " is nothing.
My overtrail plus landed at the port yesterday and was immediately put on quality hold. Not sure if it has anything to do with this, or some damage coming over or just a regular check. Hopefully we will find out soon!
You have to make sure you are going to own the car for 5 years. Then you have to make sure you aren’t going to move. Then you have to decide you aren’t going to switch dealers. A lot of question marks before you figure in the time value of money vs inflation.
I thought the same at first, but a few posters on here seem to be having much worse issues and based upon their experiences it probably goes beyond not understanding a truck rides differently than a car. It seems to be more prevalent in the overtrails, but it may be there are more of those out...
I can’t help you with reading comprehension. Someone posted we had the issue figured out. When I stated well no, it may well be correct but we aren’t sure, he came back with a reply which said he had been working on cars for 25 years obviously he was correct and what else could it be an ac...
Don’t be an ass. Some people expect these to be cars. Some people have a tire bad and some have an issue. So far it looks like you are an ass who isn’t really adding anything to the conversation, surprise surprise.
It looks like they may??? Be working on breaks as part of the vibration issue with the overtrails. No idea if connected but might be worth a dealer chat.
My guess is there are some people who expect a car ride. Some people who have issues with a tire or two, and some who have this, which looks more substantial.
