Lexus GX550 will not allow cruise when towing a trailer w electric brakes per the head tech at the dealer. He talked to the powers that be at Lexus.

Happy Day! I am picking my boys up from college, so I have emptied out my enclosed trailer and I am ready to go....except my GX550 keeps telling me the "Brake Controller is Off". I don't see how to turn it on...the manual slide does nothing... the plus (+) button to turn up the gain does nothing...
I heard, somewhere!!!, that 91 is RECOMMENDED (but not required)(and that recommends is the verbiage in the owners manual). If that’s the case, I will only use 91 when towing my 21’ boat. (I’m a light footed guy………if I want a sporty drive I grab one of our electrics).
Sadly I do not. I got on the list of every dealer within 400 miles of my house. Recently the Quad Cities Lexus dealer called me with some possibly available GXs. I was in the list at Lexus of Wayzata in September, and I was 110th in line. A couple weeks ago I had jumped all the way to 105th.
The dealer called today saying they have a GX allocated for me to consider. GX 550 Overtrail plus, incognito w black roof, Levinson, heads up, cool box and roof rack…..ALL AT MSRP!!!
The only part I didn’t love is that dealer “requires” a $995 front/side window tint w front window ceramic coat...
