Looking forward to hitting more trails with peace of mind from these skids! In the future, they will surely help to protect the shock shaft on whatever upgraded shocks!
There was quite a play on the skid, so we first tightened the outer bolts to push the skid inward, which provided more clearance for the tire. Since there was no torque specification in the installation guide, we torqued all the bolts to 25 lb-ft.

I have had my OT+ for five months, and now I'm excited to install the first modification - Victory 4x4 Rear Shock Skids!
These rear shock skids will protect the rear shock mount and the body, not just from impacts with rocks. During my few desert runs with my GX, the rear shock mounts have...
Hello from San Diego! I got my GX550 OT+ in July, now clocks in at 7800 miles. Replacing my old daily 4Runner, this GX is far more comfortable on-road, and also off-road, making long trips a joy. Looking forward to putting on some off-road mods, putting some posts and hitting more trails!
My OT+ comes with the dealer installed Lexus dash cam. It beeps every time when I hit a large bump.
I’ve also had other dash cams that beeps and chirps like this, so probably check that if you have a dash cam installed
