You should have a kit with a tool, plastic covers and instructions. Took my rack off my Lux+ because the rack was causing the panoramic roof to vibrate and cause a buzzing noise in the cabin. Pictures attached of my kit including instructions.

I have changed my oil three times, 600,2100 and 5100 miles. Intend to stick with 5 k intervals for oil changes.
