RAVEN550 (I think) is doing research right now to coordinate me shipping to him. If he changes him mind, then you’re up next. I’d prefer to sell locally, but I’m ok with shipping as long as someone else does all the coordination and work to make it really easy on me.
Oh word. Any other options out there? Or nothing that’s within budget + quality? Also, where are you located? Happy to show you my setup if you’re close (Central Texas).
I don’t believe you have to spend that much. They aren’t cheap either, but the craftsmanship and service are top-notch! Let me know if you want to explore a system again and I can intro to the owners.
Any dudes or dudets looking for a platform or storage system for the rear cargo area? Sleeper platform, sliding drawers, sliding fridge, etc etc….Air Down Gear Up is about to officially release them! They worked with Ben from Dissent Off-Road on their new LC250 and worked with me for the GX550...
You probably already did this, but check the PSI in the tires, just in case. A lot of them have been delivered with way too much air in the tires! Drop it down to 35 PSI.
Hell yeah dude! I do a ton of wheeling, mostly in CO, but also a bit in NM and ID. I suck at the content/media part haha. I just want to have a good time and not worry about getting footage, editing it, posting it, etc etc...ha!
And WOW - you have some really great photos on your site!!
Awesome! Swap out tires as well? I went with 17" ICON Rebound Pros, wrapped in 35x12.5 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts. Installed them on Monday (right now the wheels are getting a nice ceramic coat put on them!). I'll be posting a ton of stuff on my Instagram @TRD_Sequoia (and YES, I need to...
I'm thinking/hoping it is, but I don't know for sure yet. The Wolfbox system doesn't use a 16 pin connector though (I don't think), so maybe it doesn't matter. I may go with a different option, but haven't done enough research yet.
I'm in Austin and have running boards, but would prefer sliders. I leave for CO on Wednesday and am super swamped until then, but if you wanted to drive to Austin to swap...then that'd be amazing!
Biggest without a lift is around 33", which is damn near what these OEM tires are. I'm going to sell the wheels and tires, if you're interested. I'm in Austin, TX.
Nah. The bumpers aren't that heavy (aren't light either, ha!) and most of my gear isn't super heavy either. Either way, upgraded suspension will also help me out.
Sure thing! Here's an initial list!
Phantom ceramic window tint (done!)
Exterior ceramic coating (next week)
Rear cargo storage drawers, fridge, and kitchen system from Air Down Gear Up
Front (with ComeUp winch) and rear (with dual swing-outs) bumpers from Dissent Off-Road
Rock sliders from...
I'll be working with Dissent Off-Road to get a set of their bumpers late summer/early fall, so they should be ready for the market by EOY! They are absolutely the BEST of the BEST. I had them on my '23 Sequoia as well. Hell, check them out on IG and you can see what he's already done to his...
Finally...it's here! I have big big plans for this GX. Already have some amazing build partners lined up and I can't wait for everyone to see the progress. Pavement princess? Hell no! I actually use the hell out of these rigs, so please enjoy!
If you want to follow along, check me out on...
