I’m worried about the same but looking at that pic, it doesn’t look like the tire hangs over the stock 22s that much. And if it does fit without rub, imthats what I’m going to with.
Anything 285, 55 or a or 50 asks for an 8-10width but in my experience with 4Runner stock wheels that were 7’s...
Anyone know of hacks or mods to get the wind noise down? I have a luxury with the OT roof rack and once the wind starts blowing or I get over 50 the noise is pretty noticeable. I really don’t want to remove the rack either so I’m wondering if there are any mods to the interior to dampen sound or...
Anyone seen an upgraded tire on the luxury + wheels(22’s)? I recently purchased mine and it looks like a 275/50 would easily fit with no rubbing and give more cushion/sidewall.
Side note, Snapped this pic at my dealer of duratracs on an OT with the Lexus 22’s from an LX. 265’s though.
Finally took delivery today. Surprised at how tall it rides and looks. I thought the 22s would be wrapped in a much thinner tire but the sidewall is beefy enough until I upsize.
Drives so much better than the 460.
I am wondering the same. First mod will be to either get thicker tires on 22s if they don’t rub or swapping out for a higher offset 18/20 to fill out more of that fender.
Right now, I’m hopeful I can just snag a set of OT wheels when everyone starts modding.
It looks like you can go a size up...
Mine isn’t here yet but I think it’s the usual 3 (sport, normal, comfort) + 1 more (I think sport + or something) and the ability to do a custom drive mode this year.
Noticed a cat back exhaust on the parts list for the brochure. Wonder what that looks like installed or if it is already a part of one of the trim levels
My sales guy said parts usually start to show up around the time the next year (25) start shipping.
If Lexus is anything like Toyota with the tundras, the fender flares will be a part you can get from the dealer
Could be. I don’t see a difference there though. The width specs are 78.7in for OT and 77.9 for everything else so that could be with the flares accounted for or not too small of a margin without knowing the width of the flares.
For what it’s worth, I saw an overtrail at a dealer this past weekend that had 33 inch tires, 275/55/20, with no lift kit and it looked great/taller
I probably would have kept the 18’s and went with a 275/50 , but that’s just me.
This redesign was basically perfect in my eyes but the lack of interior options across the trim levels is what irks me the most. It’s very typical Toyota or Lexus to use “new” interiors/exteriors (those on other trims or cars in the fleet) to draw in buyers after the first 3-5 years a car...
Hey everyone. New to the forum. Long time Lexus owner in Houston, currently in a 2022 GX.
I’m a month or so away from receiving my gx550 luxury +, I’ll be sure to post pics once it’s in.
Also, I am preemptively in search of a set of overtrail wheels to fit to mine when it comes in and will be...
Waiting on mine from Westside as well. Was told I’m about 4 weeks out. Was there today to see an overtrail in atomic silver and I’m so happy with that being my color choice (AS) after seeing it.
I’m thinking about it as well. Waiting on a luxury + in atomic silver to arrive (4-6weeks out) and I’ve just seen an overtrail today in the same color. Might swap for the overtrail wheels as well, just hoping they eventually list them in the Lexus parts site(s) and I don’t have to go after...
