No ramps or jack needed. There are a couple bolts on the undertray/skid plate that only need to be loosened a few turns and they have a larger "passthrough hole" so the plate can be dropped. This helps to "hang" the skid plate on reinstallation and not have to support it's weight. Cool...
Your dealer should have the info on the brake replacement TSB or recall. Not sure which it is but either way Lexus is slowly getting updated pad/rotor sets out to dealers for replacement under warranty. Taking mine in soon for the same issue.
My trip home from SoCal to WA state makes up 90% of my total miles but my avg. since getting home hasn’t dropped. My typical trip is 10-15 miles for groceries, hardware store etc. I’m fortunate to live in a small town and can go driveway to grocery store with zero stop signs or lights. It’s not...
Yes, it is which would explain why it sounds so good. So Glad I didn’t opt for the ML. Loving the class D amp. Great choice for a factory setup.

They include longer plastic body rivets which are necessary but they were larger in dia. Than factory which requires drilling out the hole. Zero room to drill unless the wheel is turned full lock or removed. There’s a clip that looks like it should have a threaded hole but it’s simply a clasp...
I opted for the OT vs OT+ feeling it offered best bang for buck. I also live in a winter climate and the first 1/2 mile out of my driveway is a 15% grade. In the worst winter conditions I find myself towing stuck UPS/FedEx/Ontrac drivers up our 1/2 mile long ice road. The locking diff will...
Interesting if it pans out to be the case. Very curious how they’ll go about achieving the lift. I’ll be paying close attention to the microfiche part numbers which will tell the detailed story.
It’s likely Lexus / Hitachi Astemo Tokico engineers developed a specific shock for the OT/+ models. If that’s the case, I would consider that a good thing. Did they go too far on initial stiffness? Is it a manufacturing defect only affecting a few shocks? Most here It seems are happy with their...
I’ve been building and revalving (shim stacks) for over 20 years on motorcycle shocks/forks. Done a handful Fox shocks for trucks as well. What your proposing might be true. Have your buddy look at the opposite left side rear in the hopes it’s not bouncing. Swap the two rears and test again...
My home state and I’ve ridden the WABDR in both directions on a KTM 890R. Epic route and scenery is next level. I’m not much into driving fire roads in a SUV but sounds like these guys enjoyed it and the GX handled it well.
"@SethGX" was gracious enough to send a set of his expertly crafted reinforcing tabs. Took mine off today to perform the mod. Noticed almost zero torque on the bolts and as a result mine had no damage. Also took note the plastic seemed extremely hard and plenty strong so almost decided not to...
