I'm in MO (4 seasons) with Lux+, all "premium" features of the seats are average at best. The ventilated AC fan is weak, the heated option is also barely noticeable and the massage feature is unremarkable. All that said, I still love the vehicle and have just come to accept that I paid a lot of...
I recall seeing this thread and then bam!, it happened on my Lux+. Dealer overnighted the part and is fixing as I type. Unfortunately this solution is likely only temporary due to the cheap design Lexus allowed to move forward. I’m no engineer but kind of easy to see that a plastic handle is not...
Thx, appreciate the perspective. Just need help/therapy accepting that the "upgraded" audio system fell way short of expectations on my first-time, new car purchase. The salt in the wound is the upgraded luggage rack begins to howl above 40mph..... but that's another post. Lexus under-delivered.
Ormandj, in addition to jclaffee’s question, would love to hear your opinion on Lexus’ design to front load where the sound is projecting from in there ML system across multiple models. The majority of the sound is calibrated to sound as if it is coming from the center dash. When fading the...
I received a follow up call from Lexus US/HQ to acknowledge my customer service ticket was reviewed and to let me know that "Lexus is aware of this issue and is working on some type of resolution." He went on to explain that any additional follow up &/or specific resolution would be shared...
I have the same question for swapping out Lux+ ‘22s. There’s probably a rec’ in all these threads but hoping someone has already made the switch and can post pics
I filed a complaint online with LexusNA and received a follow up call today from their customer service department. They asked questions, logged my concerns and will continue to research the issue. They also committed to following up by next Tuesday (8/20). While my expectations for a positive...
I'm not sure what engine compartment temps get up to but regarding any type of expanding foam idea - read the product info first. Flashpoints for the following......

Just received my all weather cargo mat from WeatherTech. As expected, fits perfect and I like the moderately textured surface (not too hard/slick and not too rough). WeatherTech | Custom Fit Car Mats, Floor Mats, Trunk Liners, Window Deflectors
Found this audio review of the TX on YT. While they are different models, I believe the systems are identical. at 6:15 in the review he explains the placement of the 21 speakers. I think the only difference is the rear speakers are swapped. Otherwise, should be apples to apples.
Had my dealer (Spirit Lexus StL) have a listen, the service guys were all in agreement that the full, best sound is coming from front center. Any fade towards the rear, past center, will cause speakers to diminish significantly and reduce sound to a single rear speaker. They also noticed the...
Circling back on this fade issue. When the fade is set to Center, the sound is actually 100% coming from front/center, not center/center. I tested this with Surround on and off. Also adjusted the fade to Front/Center then back to center/center, no change. If faded to rear 90% of sound and...
I tried it with Surround on and off, no difference. Also worth noting, when the sound is faded to the rear, it is probably 90% depleted. I’ve got a dealer service appt next Fri and will share feedback if meaningful.
The ML "Sound Tuning" setting in my Lux+ sounds exactly the same when Centered and Front Centered. I've tried using multiple music sources when comparing Center vs Front Center setting - there is no difference. Can anyone explain this? Seems there is a legitimate quality concern with this sound...
I’m in the camp of the ML system is only “average”. Definitely doesn’t live up to the marketing or price tag. It’s just OK.
Im in a Lux+, the tuning is centered in front, middle of dash. If faded backwards all quality is lost (including sitting in 2nd row).
I love the vehicle but the ML system...
Turning off the cool box will allow the A/C and fan to turn off. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out the solution and gave up. Should have checked here first. Thanks LARRY for the solution.
It's interesting your Dealer worked with you on the port installed options - I was told by my Rep that they don't have any control over those options until they assume possession at the Dealer. Curious to know how it plays out for you.
Practically, these are great for helping vent heat in summer. I inherited them on current black SUV and b/t a slightly opened sunroof and windows, the escaping heat keeps the interior at least 10-20 degrees cooler. This is a big deal in hotter, humid climates. Aesthetically, they're kind of meh...
