Hi, I'm a fairly new forum member from the Indianapolis area.

I was originally looking for a 2024, but was just notified that an available 2025 was leaving the factory so I put down my deposit. Overtrail Plus in Atomic Silver. Now just 6-8 weeks to twiddle my thumbs and figure out how to tell my wife I'm buying another new car.

Keep her guessing I love my OT+ congratulations drive it like you stole it

Welcome KAR120C, I'm in the same situation as you, was looking for a 2024 and my dealer notified me of a 2025 Premium + in Incognito. I hate the waiting, but I think it will be worth it. Expect to be posting pics at or shortly after end of Feb. BTW, I had to get the misses permission, but after the test drive in one she loved it.

Same situation here in STL. I would appreciate it if you let me know what you figure out.

Few and far between here in STL, although there are 3 in my neighborhood, including mine.

I waited a year for an OT+, and have noticed that every one the local Lexus dealers get is already sold.

They told me they had 10 people attempt to buy mine when it arrived and was cleaned up and sitting in the showroom for two days before I scheduled to pick it up.

That was mid November.

The first step is to admit you have a car buying issue. My wife and I covered that territory years ago, so she generally spots my BS from a mile away.

After that it comes down to "compelling reasons" that we need to replace a current car with a new one. After multiple uses, the mid-life crisis justification doesn't work anymore, so it's important to identify an actual advantage of the new car, however weak that advantage is.

Enter COVID, and my car game picked up considerably. Supply and demand issues (and some good car choices) have allowed me to basically break even or make some money on my last 4 cars since 2020.

So, I used my recent track record to announce last night that I'd found a hard-to-get vehicle (completely true) and needed to pull the trigger immediately. I then changed the subject and survived dinner without further drama. I didn't even need to pull out my hip pocket BS reasons.

My wife is a saint.
