I ordered 275/65/20 which is a 34” tire. Will I be okay with a 9.5” rim or should I have picked a 9” rim?

The 9” rim has a +18 offset, the 9.5” rim has a +30 offset. It seems to be a wash in terms of poke. I’m more worried about whether or not my rim will be to wide for a 275 tire. Any advice?

you might rub the front liner. I have the toyo 275/60/20 (33")on a 20x9 +18 rim and it grazes the front liner going in reverse. I'd figure 1/2" more would definitely rub at that offset

Sounds like I should get the 9” wide rim. I am adding the wescott until I eventually upgrade the shocks.

I'm on Westcott's as well and it didn't do anything to help with the rubbing at this high of an offset. I ended up trimming the edge of the wheel well and re-forming the interior wheel lining.

damn! Okay I can get it switched to 9” still, but sounds like I will need to trim. That’s okay, i see your pictures now for reference. Thanks! Are all of these with the wescott in your profile?

With either of those rim choices, you are increasing the scrub radius so you will have a rubbing issue. To go with 34"'s you'll likely need a higher offset on 9" wheels.

Granted I was only rubbing in reverse at 70-80% wheel lock, the extra wheel diameter will be a problem

there should be a couple more if you click on my handle and look at the media i've posted

Gonna have a good bit of poke.

Yeah, I have decide to go with 275/60/20 on 9” rim with +18 offset. Hoping it’s not too much poke, but Vossen doesn’t make anything better unfortunately. I really do like the rims, going to go for it.

That's similar to my setup - 9", +20, 275/55/20. About 3/4" of poke. Looks great. I am adding mud/rock guards though, just to save the paint and fellow drivers' windshields.

I stumbled across these. Which may help too, little pricey but an option.

Oh wow. I really didn’t want to cut up my new Lexus, I did it on my 4th gen 4Runner but it had over 150k so I didn’t feel bad.

Kinda glad I didn’t do 34”s on Vossen now. I feel like if you got 34” or higher you really got to do +35 or more because your tire is so big it will smash the fenders or the wheel wheel is this case. Good looks

you also have to consider the 0.5" difference in rim width. the offsets are not directly comparable for different width rims
