Here's a short video showing these three vehicles going through some serious offroad terrain. Is not long or very thorough, but cool to watch.

As a bonus, here's a follow up video they published about cool features of the GX550. These came out awhile ago, but thought I would share anyway.

Heck, on looks alone I would have picked the GXOT!
Good to see the recognition.
It is reassuring that Toyota has been doing serious off road vehicles for a very long time.
Their trucks are used around the globe in Africa, Middle East, South America and the Australian Outback.
When you want to go there and have the need to also come back in one piece, there is only one choice.

I was seriously looking at the Defender 130 to replace my 2013 LR4. It seemed perfect for me - no 3rd row seats that I don't want or need, big cargo area, 2nd row seats fold flat for nice, flat floor to sleep on. Then I slapped myself and said, "What are you thinking, it's another Land Rover!" And I bought the GX.

If money were of no concern, I'd go for the G550. In movies and on TV they are the "badass" vehicles of choice. They have "cachet".

Land Rovers are beautiful and great off road but unreliable. I attended Land Rover's off road riding school, and it was amazing what these vehicles can do. I test drove a Range Rover before getting my GX. On the test drive the check engine light came on. Really instilled confidence. I had a 1987 Land Rover Defender. No creature comforts, no electronics but you could fix it with duct tape, and it would never leave you stranded. It would limp home.
