Appreciate the welcomes. Looking forward to learning from everyone and seeing their rigs. Starting to make a list of places to go. California has deserts, mountains, and beaches so lots to see. Anza Borrego’s desert scenery in the winter and spring and the mountains of the Eastern Sierras in the summer. Places like Coyote Flats, Laurel Lakes, and Leavitt Lake. The old mines of Cerro Gordo and ghost town of Bodie too. GX will also help me get to my favorite trout fishing spots on the Owens River.

Hi everyone took the GX to Anza Borrego today for its first off road adventure. The park is amazing and since I only had a day, did three things. The first was The Slot, a short 1.5 mile hike in a slot canyon, fish creek wash, and Fonts Point. All 3 go off road, but only fish creek do you need a 4x4. Fish Creek is not difficult and very scenic so perfect for a first time taking the GX out in the wild.

This exactly what I've been looking for. Would you be able to share the location of the trail head?

Hi everyone, Upon arrival in Borrego Springs go to the Visitor Center and pay for a $10 all day access fee, get maps, and directions to The Slot. It’s also a good idea to gas up as there is no gas stations. I’ll post the directions here. From the Slot get back on Highway 78 and turn right on Split Mountain Road to take you to Fish Canyon Wash. After Fish Canyon, I backtracked to Fonts Point at the end of the day because I wanted to see shadows on the Badlands
