Hello everyone , me and the wifey recently got the GX550 Premium Plus a couple months ago and came across this dash cam by FitCamX

What we like about this dash cam is that it looks like it came from factory like OEM, you won’t even notice you have a dash cam afterward.

Very easy to install if you’re just installing the main front one , but if you do end up ordering the rear camera too like we did , you will have to fish the wire from the rear back window and tuck the wire behind the pillar all the way to the front.

Overall, decent quality 4k or 2k option resolution camera , starts recording once the car is ON. You can access the video thru FitcamX app but I prefer sticking the SDcard into your computer for better access and view.

The only downside about this dash cam I would have to say is that it doesn’t have 24 hour parking monitoring when the car is OFF and parked but in my opinion dash cams normally capture events when you’re actually driving.

With that being said i highly recommend everyone to invest in a dash cam for your safety , insurances purposes ,etc.

You can order the fitcamx from there site here and feel free to use my discount code to save 10% : save10withk1

I’ve also added some short install video , rear cam install , review , and a event when someone ran a stop sign below

Did you see the Fuse Box Hardwire Kit? Does that do the parking monitoring you are looking for or no?
I did notice it somewhere on their site but after looking up other ppl reviews and their experience with them it wasn’t worth it cause it has to be like an hard impact collision to happen for the camera to come on and record . I rather have it record 24/7 without any impact happenings.

Been on the fence about this, a BlackVue , Viofo and Thinkware, the more premium models. I do like how clean this looks. Plus much cheaper compared to the higher end models of these other brands.

I don't really care for park mode monitoring that much.

How does this camera perform at night?

I was the same way and wanted to get the blackvue brand but then I’m like the fitcamx has no wires sticking out and looks oem+

Here’s a video of it a night in the rain , I would say it would be better if it wasn’t raining since it’s trying to auto focus but a good review in the rain footage , also these video has been compressed to lower quality so for this page for posting.

Thanks for that. I'm leaning towards this camera now cause the install looks clean and gets the job done, while being lower cost compared to more premium models. Nighttime + rain makes any camera struggle. I'm a part time photography enthusiast and totally understand how hard night photography/viedography is... even with the right gear.

I have this on my wife RX as well (except rear cam). Really like how clean it looks. How did you run the wire to the back camera? Did you snake the wire through the ceiling? Your install looks very professional.

Thank you , I have to do it the right way since I do this for a living lol.

Follow my Instagram business page www.instagram.com/k1autokustoms

For the back camera , the install you just have to choose either to run the wire from the left side or right side of the car and gentle tuck the wire behind the plastic pillar , working your way toward the front. Maybe I’ll make a video explaining it later

@klautogx550 that's super helpful! Thanks! Looks so easy that now I'm going to get the 2nd camera.
Question: how did you attach the one magnet stuck on your plastic trim?

You can order this

And also if you’re ordering the rear camera I believe you can still use the discount code to save 10%
