Finally went to my local dealer to sit in their demo Premium model. They had their first GX allocation presold next to it which was a Luxury. I’m very eager to get my overtrail to say the least. It was a pleasure to walk around the car and sit inside it.
Funny enough my salesperson called me saying the buyer backed out for the luxury and asked if I wanted it, even though I’m down on the list. I happily declined and reminded her I’m waiting for the overtrail. But it shows that my persistence and monthly follow ups with her gives her the impression to call me first. Kind of felt good and bad about it. But I was always told if you want something bad enough, you will be rewarded. Makes me think the deposit lists are somewhat favored in a way to customers who follow up more often. Food for thought; check up on your dealer.
