Simple Digital Key Question

First - does the Premium (base) model come with it?

If so, the physical option (set up digital key ICON) on my phone screen doesn't show. BUT... do I need to be IN the car with the Key Fob for it to show/appear?

Digital key doesn’t come with any trim. It is an option. This option, however, is only available on Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, and OT+. Not available on Premium and OT.

The digital key came as an option on my Premium+. The dealer said it wasn’t reliable and I have never tried it. I would have preferred not to pay for it.

Digital key does not seem to be something that’s been very well rolled out by Lexus. Even the sales person and the tech advisor at the dealership advised me not to download digital key as it was not very reliable.

The phone app itself has been very solid to remote start the car and lock and unlock the vehicle when needed. If you have the option to buy the key card, it’s been really awesome, not carrying around an actual physical key and putting the key card in the wallet.

That’s my experience as well. I’m annoyed that I paid for an option that I can’t really use.
