Swapping Captain’s Seats for Bench Seats?

I have the Premium+ with captain’s seats, and while I love them, I’m starting to appreciate the practicality of bench seats more. Does anyone know if it’s possible to replace the captain’s seats with a bench seat?


If so, is anyone in a similar situation who might be interested in swapping?

Can you please tell me why you don't want to keep the captains seats? I am wanting the one with captain's seats because it is just my wife and I most of the times. When I have my grandkids they can go through them to get to the third row in the back. The captain's seats look more comfortable for two people. But you are living with them and I am just looking at them. So can you please elaborate.

In your situation, captain’s seats might be the better option—especially if you don’t have little ones full-time. I have two young kids (both under 2) and a dog, so the extra seat really makes a difference.

Since my family does a lot of road trips, camping, etc., the bench seat allows one of us to easily slide into the middle if one of the kids gets fussy. We can sit next to them and give them a bottle, food, or whatever they need without much hassle. With captain’s chairs, we’d have to climb into the third row and reach over, which isn’t ideal or very safe.

I’ve also noticed that when we use the third row with captain’s seats, we have to pull a seat forward to access it, and it’s not the easiest to sneak through the middle

Just me and my husband most of the time also, but my son’s family is him his wife and grandson that way three of us fit in the back and don’t have to use the third row. We like the convenience and the bent seats are actually more comfortable than they were in the old GX.
