(Updated w pics) Question/advice about PPF?

Hi everyone! I've had my White Luxury Plus since July and I would like to get Black Gloss PPF installed on the roof, mirrors, door handles but also clear PPF for high impact areas. I've started the process of getting quotes and attached an example of what I would like to do for the roof, mirrors, and door handles.

Quote 1:

• Clear PPF high impact areas (front) - $2300
• Black PPF for roof - $2800
• Mirrors and Door handles - Told it is hard to do and told me they could take them off and have them painted for $600

Quote 2:

• Clear PPF high impact areas (front) + Ceramic special - $1660.00
• Black PPF for roof - $3240
• Mirrors and Door handles - Told it is hard to do and told me should do black vinyl

Quote 3:

• Clear PPF high impact areas (front) - $2450
• Black PPF for roof - Told they can't do it but recommended black vinyl
• Mirrors and Door handles - recommended black vinyl

I am going to get a couple more quotes but for anyone who has gotten quotes or had something similar done,

• What are your thoughts on pricing for black ppf for the roof?
• Has anyone had black PFF done for their mirrors and door handles? If not, has anyone had them painted or used vinyl?

I did black ppf on the a-pillars and roof and xpel ultimate everywhere else for around $4k. I would really stick with ppf if you are keeping the GX for over 4 years. The black vinyl won't last that long on the roof.

I had to do vinyl on the mirrors since the thicker ppf material wouldn't stay on the sharp curves of the mirror using 1-piece of material. It could have been done in ppf using multiples pieces but I didn't want seams. It's a small enough piece to replace when needed.

I had my door handles clear ppf'd but black ppf may be harder to work with as evidenced by my side mirror issues

I got a quote of $7,000 do to ppf (matte or clear) on the whole vehicle, plus a 3-5 year coating for free....

Thanks! Yeah, I think I would only do vinyl on the mirrors and door handles but gloss black PPF for the roof

I did my entire OT in clear (with the exception of under the roof rack) for $5300.

When you say front clear, what did they cover exactly? The full front clip (bumper, whole hood, full fenders/qtr panels)? Or just select areas?

Yeah, the full front clip and they did the edges of the black plastic piece near the windshield too
