So yeah the fluttering hood, stereo, massage passenger seat, and squeaky breaks. After 28 days to get an appointment and told they’d call us on Friday, as of yesterday hadn’t even been seen yet. Wife got the call today and it was done. Once she got there was told brakes have to be back ordered, lumbar kit has to be ordered and is back ordered, stereo is what it is, and they don’t have a fix for the hood.

Other than that, a successful trip

the fluttering hood is simply insulation that comes loose.... poor adhesion of glue. Most dealers I've seen are fixing it with glue. The seat I've al;so seen as a loose wire that gets reattached and secured with a zip-tie. Adding anti-squeak to the brake pads has fixed that for some. The stereo, I kind of agree but, get it up passed 30 to 40 with a quality recording playing, it sounds pretty good imo. Sounds like your dealer is lazy

There is no insulation under the hood. There is a cardboard trim piece covered with black fabric that you see on the underside of the hood when you open it. That trim piece is held on with plastic clips. Beneath that trim piece is the aluminum inner hood structural component with the outer aluminum hood skin beyond. The outer hood skin bounces up & down at speed (flutters) because it is only rigidly adhered to the inner structural piece along the edges. There are several globs of adhesive along the interior but they are not enough to support the thin, flexible hood skin in the wind on the highway. The outer hood skin needs more structural support. I've heard that Lexus is just globbing more glue in there to hopefully fix it.

They’re must be some disconnect with what they told her about the massage passenger seat.

It definitely doesn’t need a lumbar replacement. Like Lex-Us mentioned, they fix it by reattaching the wire, most techs can do it in minutes.

Hood flutter - I’ve accepted it and will just wait until it bothers me too much.

Brakes - same boat, on the waiting list, hoping to get that one brake kit they ship to each dealership a week 🤞
