This is a neat little trick....

Under the little gear setting icon menu, go to "Head up display" and make sure "Display customization" is on "Full". See the first photo.

On the steering wheel, click the "Lane departure assist" button to turn it OFF so the icon is off on the digital dash display. See the second photo.

Then on the steering wheel click the Cruise control MODE button to switch the cruise control from Adaptive to regular Cruise Control Mode. See the third and fourth photos. The digital dash display will then display a message about turning adaptive cruise control back on and you can hit the return key on the steering wheel or just wait about 10 seconds and the message will go away.

Then you'll have the tachometer on the heads-up display.

NOTE - the tach won't display in ECO mode.

The next time you start the truck, you have to switch back to regular cruise control instead of adaptive again and it will display the tach.

How did you manage to display both the tachometer and speedometer at the same time? I tried switching between displays 1, 2, and 3, but it didn’t work.

I believe that is under the “meter” setting. I will have to double check.

Ty good work

Great picture walk through of the button presses. It has illudid me for a couple weeks as it was not straight forward in the user manual. Definitely nice to have if pushing it and manually shifting. After the HUD tack and driving info, the normal cluster doesn't get the attention I used to give it.

I have been wishing there was a way to get the HUD to show that tach. Followed these steps (thank you by the way) but unfortunately it’s not working for me. HUD on Full, cruise control switched to regular cruise, and lane keep assist setting to off. No tach.

I wonder if there is some other setting I am missing. I was not in eco mode but running in sport mode. Tough to photograph, so I took one with HUD in focus and one with dash in focus.

Switching two meter 2 is a nice alternate setup for the dash though.

You can see the two angled lines in your HUD - this indicates that some kind of lane keeping assist is still activated as AtomicEric noted.
