NYTOP Hybrid Bumper - anyone have it?

I'm also interested in anyone with opinions on dealing with NYTOP as well. I'm thinking of ordering some things from them for my new GXOT.

One question I haven't seen talked about much is whether installing bumpers like this do anything to negatively affect crash worthiness on highway? Is there any data/discussion of that to take a look at? I would guess minimalist replacement bumpers like the NYTOP one mentioned above might not affect it much, but adding a big steel bumper in place of plastic and aluminum with a big hunk of winch metal might do something.
 
We love ours, we also just did there skid plate setup and run there rock sliders as well. We've been working pretty closely with them on feedback, etc.

Did you have to cut or trim anything when installing the front bumper? Saw that there was some cutting in the installation guide so wanted to confirm with you.

EDIT of my questions on the front bumper: I now actually read the NYTOP materials, and they do say the approach angle is improved considerably, and the install instructions show how you leave the factory crash bar in place, and don't have to remove the upper part of the front of the GX to install (unlike for some other bumpers that have more coverage and include winch mounting). I like this, since it appears to keep the crash characteristics of the GX more or less the same (maybe other bumpers do too, but this minimal setup is good I think). Also think the install of this without having to remove the entire front end makes it pretty easy for me to do myself.
I would appreciate hearing comments on the install and approach angle from others, however.

No place for a winch in the front bumper, right?
Yes, just beefs up front/bottom and removes material that no doubt I'd bang into a rock or something. YMMV, but for me I think that it may be a nice compromise between stock and full-on winched front end. I have recovery gear, so hopefully will have a friend who can pull me (or me them) as needed. I've had a winch on an off road vehicle before, and my somewhat conservative (chicken!) approach led me to never use it. Of course, that was before synthetic rope, so I may have just been scared of the metal cable :).

I have had a winch on a few trucks and my experience is similar, its the omg help thing, that almost never gets used. Probably makes more sense to get one that goes into a trailer hitch and throw it in the back when you are off road. Do any of these offer a trailer hitch on the front bumper?

I haven't seen any front receiver bumpers, but haven't looked into it much so far.

The NYTOP does not replace any of the crash components - just the plastic trim so no impact. It's a 'no cut' installation - so nothing changes beyond the lower plastic pieces coming off - which offer about the same crash protection as wearing a sweater when you hit a wall.

Other than it cost something to buy, I can't see much reason not to put it on. I think I'm going to order it now.

Do you think it increases the road noise? Though you have non-stock tires - buy fear is that you start removing the plastic trim which deflects the air you do change the flow and possibly increase noise. I'm leaving the stock tires on the vehicle - but really liked there NYTOP with the option of additional drive/fog lights
