Couple things -
It is intermittent so not easy to capture.
Mine feels like I’m on a washboard road at times even on smooth newly paved asphalt.
I tried capturing the hood flutter (which I’m not too worried about) on video and while the flutter is real, you really can’t see it on video so I...
Those crossbars aren’t the most quiet. Hopefully they will be a step down from the actual rack. I am hoping for aftermarket to replace my OEM or will upgrade to Westcott or Sherpa for a full rack. For $200 you can’t go wrong.
I had a first year Bronco and I would agree that my Ford dealer and Ford corporate were more proactive in fixing the first year model issues than Lexus. Lexus has very polite case managers who seemingly do nothing but try to placate you without any interaction with engineers, mechanics or...
Nytop will have some similar sliders.

Wescott has some for the LC that may be compatible but it’s the tube version you may not like.
I tend to agree with you on potential causes.
I am also coming from a 21 Bronco and 12 4Runner on more aggressive AT tires than these special OEM Toyos. Mine is very smooth most of the time but intermittently feels like I am driving on a washboard road when on newly paved roads or a regular...
I have been speaking with 1-800-Lexus and they will reveal nothing about the vibration (my biggest concern), hood flutter and brake noise (annoyances) other than being polite and then saying I should work with my local dealer. I told them I would be happy if Lexus would state they are looking...
My dealer in VA acknowledges there is a brake problem and says they are waiting for upgraded parts from Lexus. They don’t acknowledge the vibration issue officially but said it might be good to come in and get it down on the record. No fixes for either for me.
My OT+ has the issue and the dealer master tech seemed like he was quoting off a prepared statement that this how “the trim rides“
(Coming off a Bronco on much beefier ATs and a 2012 4Runner on Toyo AT3s I find that hard to believe)
Go back earlier in this thread and you will see at least one...
My dealer noted that Lexus is aware of this issue and the fix is new brake pads (possibly modified vs the original) but that Lexus has not shipped the replacements yet.
My OT has a storage cubby below the jack storage on the left in the rear compartment. May be for an onboard compressor but I can store a recovery rope and a few other items in there and my e-flares in with the jack compartment.
Def not worth that. Many seem to have taken them off for noise reasons so you may be able to get some cheaply. They look easy to install. No real other cross bar options yet.
I agree w you on the storage and will be trying a cheap option I learned about on the LC from Walmart that goes between seat and center console - will report back once installed.
The factory rails suck
- they are not adjustable - you cannot move them up and down the rails
-they are loud...
Just picked up my OT+ and really want to use it well - mostly off-roading to get to fishing, hiking and camping but will look at overlanding in the future.
Coming from a Bronco and 4Runner for a decade prior (loved both)
I am looking for sources for and real world experience with the...
