Welcome to the GX Forum! I spent months going back in forth between the LC and GX before finally deciding. For me the price, 7 seats, and engine were the three main factors.

I know it's minor, but one small thing that bugs me about the Defender is the location of the shifter. It reminds me of a mini van having it on the dash.

Congrats on the order! I wouldn't be surprised if you hear something a lot sooner then 6-8 months. Is there specific reasons why you choose the GX over the LC? (Interior/Exterior/engine/etc?)

Is anyone considering adding mud flaps to the GX550? It's something I'll probably do, however I haven't come across any options other than the ones shown on the JAOS GX a while back.

I'll be sticking with 33s. I think that's a good balance between looks and function. The 35s do look great though!
