My assumption is no rear vents saves a bit of money, and they feel they aren't needed with no 3rd row. Probably assuming that the front vents cool that area sufficiently.
Well I have 57 years of living and have found that until something is proven you are guessing. I would agree you may well be right, but until someone has actually tried this and had this “fixed” we are guessing.
Generally the tires would be a prime suspect and the simplest “fix”. You have to remember those people are probably all over the country and most aren’t having an issue, so it is probably the dealers first time with the issue, so they do the logical 1st step and change the tires. Couple that...
Why would you feel relief? You still have a car with issues. Most people don't, that should make you feel better. The issues you are having should be fixable. If every GX vibrated uncontrollably and the breaks screamed when I backed up I would figure it was the way things are supposed to be...
1. Test drive before you buy
2. Go on fb forums, no one is complaining about the vehicle over there with 100x’s the posts we get here.
3. Go to any other car forum and read the negative posts.
There are bad cars that slip through with every manufacturer. My buddy just lemon lawed his 2024...
I emailed Long Range America yesterday asking about a possible tank for the GX550. This is the response I got back.
Michael, We haven't undertaken this tank project yet. But, it is on our todo list for Q4 of this year.
Always going to be some new cars with issues. Sounds like you have a few. Hopefully you get them fixed. Most people aren’t having issues. The hood flutter is common on cars today, but if yours is worse than normal maybe there is an issue. The ride on these vehicles isn’t as smooth as a car...
Most won’t let you because they are afraid you will run it with the lockers on on pavement and break things going to fast and turning. Plus not sure why you would want them locked in 2 wheel drive?
I was told by my salesperson that last time they had a vehicle come in like the GX550 the next model year didn't come until late spring. Take it from where it comes
People talk about the Wolfbox g900 digital rear view mirror with pretty good reviews. You might want to check that one out. I have never used one, so I can't say how well it works.
Thanks Gunner, really appreciate the help. Usually I test drive vehicles before I buy. Of course I also already have test driven one, and understand it isn't a car so I don't have unrealistic expectations. If the one I am looking at does have issues with vibrations I won't buy it unless and...
I have a digital rear view mirror in my jeep. I am kind of 50/50 on it. When I drive in the snow and mud it is constantly covered over with crap so it doesn’t work, and I have to try and use the washer fluid to clean it off. Also my old eyes make the picture somewhat blurry trying to focus on...
There is a difference between having a car with an issue and having lots of cars have an issue. We feel bad that you are having an issue. Most aren’t and some of the people who are say they have the same issue in every GX they drive. Which leads to questioning the severity of their specific...
Not one person that I can find, has posted about this has driven a second GX550 and not felt the vibration. And none have had the vibration "fixed" once they had it. A few drove other gx's and felt the vibration, and a few weren't able to find other vehicles to drive. A vast majority haven't...
If it was just on one vehicle it would be much easier to diagnose. If you feel it in every one you drive And no one else notices it perhaps you are just really sensitive to it and perhaps there is no fix to it?
This is what I came down to. My wife will probably need to use them as a step, but I want the protection. I’ll use the money I save and get a better aftermarket set that offers more protection and a step.
I test drove one that had the DASHCAM and I noticed it sitting there kinda in the way. I think moving it up the other side makes sense. The one I have coming in has one too.
How much of a job was it to move the dashcam to the other side? That has been talked about a bunch and if not tough, might be something a bunch of people try.
Never had a vehicle in 40 + years of driving 4 wheel drive vehicles, that would let you lock the differential in anything other than...
