How (in)accurate are the delivery estimates on lexus.com. For eg. would the car(not mine) below really arrive by 9/15 or should one assume X weeks delay ? Dealer is being too diplomatic and evasive.

Awesome. So basically, its the same rack but attached using different adapters due to OT and Lux having different roof rails.

Some window stickers are showing a "Low Profile Roof Rack" installed from factory. There is no "Low Profile" option on the Lexus configurator, just the normal one. Anybody knows if the window sticker is referring to the same regular one or something else ?

I don't mean to hijack the thread but how does such a remote sale work. You dont get to test drive before you take ownership ? Also whose insurance covers the car when its being shipped to you i.e. does the sale happen before the car starts the journey to you or when it reaches you ?

Anyone find noticeable difference in the seat depth and seat height of 2nd row bench between OT+ vs Lux+ The specs quote the exact same numbers but I 'felt' the ones in OT+ to be extremely tiny and uncomfortable. Sitting in 2nd row of OT+ felt like sitting on a tiny step stool where my knees...

All dealers I have spoken to seem shady or just making up answers to all my questions. Is there a way to get answers directly from Lexus ? Questions I have: 1. Does Lexus take custom orders ? 2. Are Luxury plus now being manufactured only with captains chair in 2nd row ?

No. Only 5k refundable deposit when car is confirmed to be in production. I can back out even at the time of delivery where they would give the 5k back.

So if a dealer insists they can do a custom order even when asked repeatedly, should I trust or avoid ?

Confused with the following statement Digital Key* (requires Remote Connect* subscription, 3-year trial included) and SmartAccess card key* Why does it need a subscription? Doesn't it use Bluetooth or wifi-direct ?

What would be the least intrusive way to de-uglify the default 22" wheels on the Luxury plus ? Dont want to replace the wheels altogether, just want to color them grey if possible ? Are there slap on rim covers etc. or some kind of paint that survives car washes for a couple of years ?

Seems like all Luxury + have captains chairs in 500 mile radius :-( I want bench seats. This would probably be the last nail in coffin. Seems like I am working harder than Lexus to buy a GX550. So many compromises going with any trim.

This was one of the cheapest part I noticed when checking out a gx550 yesterday at a dealer. It felt so flimsy and yet needed a lot of force to move it. Was expecting Lexus would have better feeling levers than my Ford.

Is it possible to custom order an exact trim, color, options package as shown in the lexus build tool ? The dealers seems to be all over the place on this. Some say this is not not possible and you can only hope to get a similar match from their allocations. While other dealers say yes ofcourse...
