Best dealer to get a 25 model

I am trying to pick up a Premium base in any shade of grey/silver in or around Wisconsin.

I called several dealers around the USA who had one listed, and all are already spoken for and they wouldn’t put me on their lists.

I am on the “list” with a dealer closest to me (80 miles away), and almost got an incognito premium base last week, but the buyer in front of me decided to take it(I can’t blame them!).

I don’t really need or want any of the port installed options, as this is already pushing my wife on how much she wanted to spend, and we were already serious about a Limited 4Runner to get the optional 3rd row and full-time AWD..

Once I told her the GX550 was much more powerful, and could tow a bunch more, and seemed like a much beefier vehicle overall, for about $5k more, the search has been on.

We currently have a 2012 GX460, and it is great, but I think my wife could use some more extra safety features like we have in our 2018 GS350 AWD. The trick is that we no longer need the GS350 because I was assigned a truck for work.

The plan is to trade both of these in and get a good value plus the tax credit/reduction on a new GX, but I am not sure if I am better off to just hold them both for what could be 6+ months or more, or sell them to a dealer or private buyer. Dealers around have offered to outright purchase the GS for roughly 85% of what the same cars are selling for on autotrader or private sales.

Does anyone have a recommendation on my dilemma?

I’m in Wi just picked up a overtrail white from. Lexus highland last weekend. I know they have a incognito in showroom so I dnt think sold

I’m outside of Milwaukee and had to go to IL to get my OT+ which arrives in a few weeks. The SE WI Lexus dealers aren’t easy to work with regarding wait lists. Such a simple concept..,not for them apparently.

Did you try Pemroke Pine Lexus? I have a good contact if you need.

If you buy there, trades won't likely be feasible due to distance, but you have two desirable cars that have a following. Might be worth the private sales on those, and you may end up better than tax value of a trade.

They were nice but don’t have any premium base models in the gray/silver tones….

Talked to Daniel in sales at Highland and he advised that all new GX550’s are now getting the additional $3400 “pro-pack” options for tint, warranty bump, etc. as standard in addition to MSRP. He also noted very few premiums available and wanted to get me in to a premium plus and not even consider getting a premium for me.

I wonder if the “pro-pack” is a new add on that they didn’t require when you put your deposit down in February.

Woodfield Lexus is at MSRP with no add ons
