Black front Emblem

Ok - so now we’ve done the grill emblem. We need to figure out a plan for those chrome and tacky wheel logo centers!
That would be cool. I wonder if we can get that Etsy company to cut something. I’ll send them a message. I just picked up some Spidertrax spacers so I’m sticking with the stock wheels.

Have you calculated the impact to MPG with the gloss on matte - the additional weight could keep you from hitting the nirvana spot by 0.0000001
I'm relying on the gloss portion to really slide through the air and increase aerodynamics, thereby negating the extra weight penalty.

Easy application?
Extremely easy. I did all four wheels in 4 hours. Most of it is drying time. If you are just doing the emblem I would estimate 1 hour. First the wheel has to be clean and completely dry. I used kitchen garbage bags to cover inside brake and caliper. Mask off anything on wheel you don’t want painted. I did full wheel so I didn’t mask off anything. You start with a super light tack coat and wait 10 minutes between each coat. Less is better. There are many YouTube videos on how to perform. Practice on a big cardboard box before so you know how to use the spray without causing it to be wet/running. Indoors with no wind is best. I’d recommend doing entire rim/lugs/logo for consistency of color. I love it.

I’m going to stick to just the center caps; looks like they have an anthracite gray whick would be a ghost match for the overtrail gray wheels

I wonder if gloss black center caps would match the stock 22”s.

I can only provide anecdotal evidence but I’ve had it almost since I acquired the truck 7/1 and I’ve had zero issues with the radar. aCC works great, is responsive, and from varying distances. I haven’t tried it in too much inclement weather yet but nothing screams that performance will be impacted by this film.

I installed my gloss-on-matte black front emblem from Upturn Prints. It turned out great. I'm an idiot and I dropped it after I peeled it off the backing as I was walking from my workbench to the front of my truck. Luckily it landed butter-side-up but a coupe little pieces of dust got onto the sticky side. It still works fine, though.

That second picture made me chuckle. Reminds me of a dog sniffing a camera 😂

Generally the most flattering way to take pics of our trucks are to stick your camera on the max optical zoom, then walk back far enough to frame the truck how you want it. Doing it with the ultrawide angle makes the composition weird unless you really know what you are doing. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve always been a point and shoot person. Never knew of or used any camera tricks.
