Blaine WA
Greetings from Blaine WA, snuggled up to the Canadian border. Took delivery of our Nebula Gray Premium+ yesterday. Traded our 21 GV80, which was absolutely great, however the dealer experience was abysmal. Well acquainted with Lexus having had 2 RX's, 3 GS's, an IS, and 2 RC's in the family. Have been reading the forum for a couple of months while waiting for the GX to arrive. Lots of good information here!

Congrats and welcome. Post some pics or it doesn't exist. ;)

OK so here's the new GX, after waiting for over 4 months, it really does exist!

Welcome!

I have a habit of looking up pictures where people are from when they mention it and Blaine looks like a cool little town.
Blaine is a very nice "little" town, but unfortunately growing. Many new homes going in and the prices are eye watering. Some great little restaurants and shops, along with a beautiful resort on the bay. We bought well before Blaine was really discovered. We were lucky enough to land on the Semiahmoo Golf Course so we have a pristine back yard that we don't have to mow!

Greetings from Sammamish, WA! I have been to Semiahmoo resort a few times for some business offsites. This is a great location.

Greetings from Vancouver. Blaine is great little town. Probably too many of us Canadians buying gas. Really enjoy Drayton Harbor Oyster Company. Regular visits to Can-Amer Freight. Still waiting up here for our OT+.

I have a Luxury Nori Green (my avatar) with saddle tan interior and love it. Waited for that very color and interior for a while. So far, I only saw an OT with the same color in the Seattle area.

Greetings from Sammamish, WA! 🌟 @Orzel congrats on your new ride! I absolutely love the Semiahmoo area—some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen.

@Patrickg6191 hey neighbor! I just got my White OT yesterday. Nori Green was my first choice too, but the wait for that color on OT trim was way too long. I had to compromise somewhere, so I chose to stick with the trim and let go of the color. 😊

Congrats! Yes, it's always a dilemma on what to compromise on. I did compromise on the trim but not on the exterior color and interior color. I initially was going for the Premium + but the Tacoma dealership rep I was in business with told me that they had a Luxury Nori Green and saddle tan in transit and asked me if I was interested, so I jumped on the opportunity given the time I had already waited...Maybe we will see each other on Sammamish roads. I haven't seen any other GX550 so far here...

This is such a coincidence, we both from Sammamish and got our car from the Tacoma dealership. I bet we might have end up working with same representative @ Tacoma.

Have you done any PPF/Ceramic coating? Please let me know if you came across good places to maintain the exterior paint. I am 100% sure that I will be doing FULL color PPF just not sure when.

Yes, small world. This my third Lexus in 10 years (RX350 Sport, GX460 Limited and now GX550 Luxury) and I bought all of them at the Tacoma dealership. I simply don't like the Bellevue one for many reasons and the Tacoma folks always delivered on the sales and service experiences YoY.

Regarding the paint protection, I always get the 3M chip protect film on all my cars. For the GX550 I went with the full hood option that also protects the front sides. I don't do anything special to maintain the paint besides keeping the car clean (car wash at Brown Bear) and using Meguiar products for detailing (they have a great waterless washing product). I have a garage, so the car doesn't stay too much outside.
