Cruise Control Question

First thread start. Brand new to Lexus, but have had three Land Cruisers. (still have '99 100 series, off-road modified) I am used to LC cruise controls. My question is how to reduce down and reset the CC to a lower speed. Pushing the RES button goes to last set speed. But going thru a lower speed zone, how can I reset without totally going out of cruise control mode? I cannot find in the manual.

Thanks in advance!

On the steering wheel right below the "Res/+" button there's a "-" button. Press it once to decrease the cruise control set speed by 1 MPH. Press and hold and it will start to continuously decrease the cruise control set speed until it's released.

yes, I am aware of the "-" button, but on the LC CC, just pushing the set button would reset to the new speed without reducing or holding the - button. Sometimes while driving you are not able to reduce gradually and need to reset immediately, I'll just work around it. Thanks!

I see what you're saying. So if, for example, your Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is set to 75 MPH and you're following a car on a highway. You enter a town, still following said car, and the car in front slows down to the posted speed limit of 45 MPH so your Dynamic Radar Cruise Control also slows you down to 45. But you don't want your set speed to still be 75 MPH, you want to make it 45 MPH by pushing a button that sets your cruise control to your current speed.

I just looked in the manual and didn't find that either. Maybe Lexus/Toyota just wants us to quickly turn off and on the cruise control...but that seems a little clunky. I'll try playing with it next time I'm driving and see if I can find something.
