Day 1 Learnings

A whole 35 miles, 1 day of ownership, & detailing my new ride — here’s a few tidbits:
1. I love the ride height

2. Port installed crossbars on luggage roof were too high for my garage door opening. It was less about the height of the opening and more that I have an extremely heavy wood door that sags just a bit in the middle bottom which was enough to prevent a fit. So I removed the crossbars and are fits fine. No big deal, but I never considered that would be an issue

3. All of the Lexus warranty options and pre-paid maintenance program prices are negotiable.

4. The Lexus windshield warranty (in the tire & wheel protection program) offers only 1 full glass replacement for the life of the program. Still seems worth it, but just be aware.

5. Given potential for impending tariffs, the pre-paid maintenance program may have additional value

6. Fully polished, detailed, and ceramic coated my vehicle. For its boxy look, I was surprised that there are so many curves to the body. It’s definitely adds to its great look.

Most insurance companies do glass replacement without limitations and without impact to your rates. Not sure the value of a separate glass insurance.

This is mostly state dependent I believe.

Correct. In FL they have to replace/repair it for free

I will probably remove the roof rails also to even gain more room in my garage.
