I love following you guys….after hearing for many decades how Type A I am, I realize I am actually super mellow! I haven’t done anything to my Overtrail other than put on snows and nothing about it gets me upset (fingers crossed). Just really like driving it in all conditions. Be safe!

Thanks Bluegill. After reading your post while sitting in the GX, I now, for the first time, noticed the visor stickers. Hope they don't haunt me every time I look up. Maybe that is why the drivers monitor is so sensitive, it knows you could get sucked into staring at the stickers and be distracted thing how crazy warnings have become. For situations like this, I am glad I have lane departure and braking assist turned on.

I tried a little heat with my wife's hair dryer and it didn't seem to make a difference. I have a real heat gun but I didn't want to use it on this somewhat-delicate and thin fabric they've wrapped the sun visors with...

The glue and the back of the decal are kind of part of the fabric and it looks like, even if you were able to peel off the decal, it would leave behind tons of residue.

Can you post a picture?

Great write up. I installed this one as well. I had trouble getting my pod lights to mount in correctly and Josh sent me new brackets that now have a slot for depth adjusting.

Question, have you found a factory looking switch/button for the aux lights? I’m hoping to install next to the rear hatch opening button.

FWIW, I installed the garmin power switch. No physical switch or wires through the firewall. Comes up in CarPlay screen. I love it. The ditch light brackets and location…not so much. It’s almost impossible to adjust without removing the winch and the whole front bumper cover, and one of mine got pushed back/upwards offroad last weekend…sigh. JW Offroad really needs to redesign that bumper with a better way to access/adjust those after the bumper is installed.

My front auxiliary light switch is still in the engine bay along with a coil of extra wire length by the battery. I have to find a hole to get the wiring through the firewall and then find a place to mount a switch. Just hasn't been a priority...

I’m looking at the ones that are Bluetooth - I have not looked for a pass through from the engine bay either

Finally picked up my sliders from Westcott Designs today. They are literally fresh out of the oven....they had 45 minutes left at 309° F when I showed up. Going to try to get them installed this evening as we are heading up to Flagstaff to play in the snow for the rest of the week.

I had a bluetooth switch panel for my last Land Rover. With this GX, my only extra lights (so far) are in my winch bumper so I think I'll just route the stock Rigid switch into the cabin and stick it somewhere low and out of sight.

Bluegill - as someone who has had multiple off-road rigs with steel bumpers and sliders - how did they fare over time and did you have to do anything to maintain them (rust/corrosion/etc.)?
