Engine Stall from Stop and Lightly Accelerating

Overtrail+ owner. Curious if anyone has noticed, when very lightly accelerating from a stop, there will be a quick burst of power (1-2 seconds) followed by a 1-2 second motor stall? It then accelerates normally again? Normal or Comfort Drive modes.

For example, I'm making a right turn from a complete stop. There will be a quick acceleration into the lane under very light throttle, then the motor RPMs feel like they die entirely for just a second before I've fully entered the lane. I give it just a tad more throttle via instinct and all is well again.

I know this happens more often when the motor is cold. I can't really confirm if it does it when it's warmed up since it doesn't occur too often. Maybe once every other drive. It seems like it might be stalling while the transmission gear hunts. I'm hoping there might be some software update that addresses this.

Thanks!

I have an OT+ I usually let it idle for roughly 30 seconds ,but on occasion when first starting rpms did jump but extremely rare not sure if this helps good luck

I consistently notice the same thing. I assume now that is normal, and is related to acceleration programing either for safety or energy efficiency. Seems like the gear selection in a factor as well, almost like it upshifts too soon follow by hesitation, then a downshift. I'm at around 8000 on the odometer, and i kind of learned the sweet spot on the skinny pedal to avoid that lag. I've heard very similar observations from a few friends with other new vehicles

Thanks! Sounds like the same thing I'm experiencing. I'll ask Lexus about when I finally take this thing in. I'll update the post afterwards. I'm almost at 1k miles.
