Entrance and Exit heights

I'll be trading in my Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland and a feature I have found useful is the adjustable entry and exit height. Some of the GX models have "Adaptive Variable Suspension" which says you can lower the GX for easier entry and exit.... Can you really do this? How much does it actually lower... and do you use it and find it helpful? I have a knee issue so just wondering

I’ve got a grand Cherokee summit and like the adjustable height feature too. The GX overtrail has the AVS but it does not change height, just damper stiffness. Not an air suspension. I’m sure I’ll have some adjusting to do when I get it. But at least it has a running board to step up.
