Hello all. I’ve been driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser for the past 13 years and I loved my FJ but with values now dropping like a rock decided it was time for a change. I actually first put a deposit down on a Land Cruiser LC Premium loaded that was supposed to be delivered a few weeks ago. When I couldn’t get a firm date, started looking at the Lexus GX550 OT+ as an alternative but there were none to be found. Watched numerous YouTube videos and waffled back and forth for weeks. The only option I wish my OT+ had (that the LC had) is the digital rearview mirror but looking at all the options the OT+ has and weighing the pros and cons was leaning towards the GX. I had driven an LCFE but never a GX, then found one five hours away. So the dealer put it aside and two days ago made the trip and the purchase. A 2024 Nori Green two tone OT+ with ML, HUD, Traffic Jam, blah blah blah…as loaded as they come. Drove it home yesterday and feeling really good about the purchase. The Nori Green is growing on me, though wouldn’t be first choice, and the rest is a lot to take in moving up from an FJ Cruiser. Bottom line is I’m happy I went with the GX over the LC and now it’s time to jump into that rather steep learning curve! Look forward to reading and learning more here and contributing when I get smarter, which my wife says will be never!
