GX550 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread

I’ve had my Premium Plus for a month and have purchased a set of the stock Overtrail 18’ wheels and plan on replacing my stock 20’s with them. For tires, my preference is either the BFG KO3’s or Falken Wildpeak AT4W in 275/70/18. Can someone please tell me if they will fit without any modifications necessary. Otherwise I’ll go with the stock OT size.

I still need a spare wheel if anyone is getting rid of theirs and I’ll be selling all 5 of my stock 20’s.
Ive seen 285/75 on stock wheels no trim

Swapped to some black lugs.

I could use some help here. I’m probably overthinking this but tires are so confusing to me. I spare you from all the junk floating around in my head about this and just get to my questions. I’m going 265/70/18 on OE Overtrail wheels on my Premium+, should I go “SL” Load Range or go “E” Load Range? No big towing ever planned outside the biggest U-Haul trailers full of my kids crap moving in and out of college. Will 116T rated tires be fine? The manual calls for 265/70R18 116H with 18” tires.

I get lost in the load ratings.

My Prem + came with 265/55R20 XL Yokohama X-CV. I swapped the wheels to some 20” Tundra wheels. I never could get the tundra tires (Bridgestone Duelers) to balance out and the slight vibration was driving me nuts, so I swapped them Saturday to 275/60R20.

I was between:
265/60R20 Yokohama Geolander X-CV SL
275/60R20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 XL

Looking at the load ratings it was only 50lbs different. But I forked over a few extra bucks to match the OE XL rating.

Edited: the 275/60R20 are true 33” tires and look great with no rubbing.

For those interested in wheel and tire swaps, this thread serves as a helpful resource. A common question we often encounter is about offset and its effect on the stance of the vehicle. If you've recently switched to new wheels & tires, we'd appreciate it if you could contribute by sharing the wheel/tire size, offset, and detailed photos

Here's an example of 18x9 wheels mounted with 265/70r18 tires. The wheels have a negative 0 offset.

IMO my preference would be black rhino rims. I think they look perfect on the all black and the atomic silver. I’m not sure incognito would look as good with those rims
Here’s mine with 22” Fuel wheels and 285/55/22” I do have the Westcott
Does anyone have suggestions on what rims and tires they would recommend to replace the 22” OEM setup on the Luxury? Looking for something to provide

I have a Luxury+ with 22” Fuel Wheels and 285/55/22” Nitto tires with the Westcott Lift kit, keep in mind I had trim some plastic on the bumper and inner fender. Tomorrow the Westcott Roof rack is going to be installed.

Nice! Is that Atomic Silver? Looks a little brownish from the pic. What’s the price on this one I’m guessing it’s over 90k

I figured, thanks. Looks like an OT. Didn't know they came in that color but it sure looks nice. So nice I would be afraid to take it out on the trails, but then I'm real OCD

Not an OT - look at the door handles. They're painted body color. The OT comes with black door handles. I'm guessing they wrapped the fender flares in black.

18” Fuels and Falken Wildpeak A/ T4W LT275 /70 R18. Stock Premium Plus suspension - wouldn’t mind a little front level, but not worth having anything to roughen the ride. As is, rides smoother than then stock 20” wheels and highway tires, imho. Tiny bit of rub at full turn in reverse, will trim if it doesn’t wear itself out. Atomic Silver with Expel Stealth full ppf, came out great.
