Ilumo,I’m sure it will be fine. It probably will compress a little more on corners but if all you’re after is the look then I doubt it will be a problem. I think there are a number of people with 285s on the stock rims.
I think it might a tiny bit cushier than the stock tires due to the added sidewall height. However at highway speeds it’s definitely noisier with. Bit of humm. It took a few weeks to get used to but it’s all good now. Wet and snow traction was fine. Looks are the most significant upgrade imo.Ilumo,
Now that you have had the 275/50R22 AT3's for a little bit, hows the ride VS. the stock tires?
Thanks for showing pics of your GX! We are ready to make our tires purchase and again see 285/55r22 are too wide for the stock 7.5” wide Luxury+ wheels. The size says 8.0” minimum. Didn’t u run into this when you chose your tires? Any rubbing at all that required some minor trimming?2024 GX550 Luxury Plus
285/50/22 Toyo Open Country AT3 on oem Lexus 22. Zero rubbing, fits great and dressed wheel up tremendously.
33.3 x 11.7
I looked for others like this for weeks trying to find best size with very few out there on 22s. I hope this post helps others with interest.

Before Tires
I think the “55” sidewall height will be the bigger factor in the wheel rubbing in this case. Floyd had “50” height tires I believe. Thanks for showing pics of your GX! Yep his original post stated he had the 285/50 size.I think the “55” sidewall height will be the bigger factor in the wheel rubbing in this case. Floyd had “50” height tires I believe.
The 10mm extra is nice. But I decided against that for the reasons you mentioned. I like the 275 a lot and it feels like OEM+ for me with the toyos. The g stock dunlops were garbage.Yep his original post stated he had the 285/50 size.
I'm torn between the 275/50 and 285/50 for my Lux+, but leaning towards the 275 as this is a non LT tire and rides better/lighter - Cant beat the looks of the 285 though! ..... tough decision
