Hi all. From from the Austin area. Retired. I have owned Lexus’s sedan, RX and currently a 2013 GX 460. I’m so excited they have finally made changes to the GX. Not so much about the engine…makes me nervous. I made a deposit on the 550 premium plus and received a call that it should be delivered 11/12. Anyone considering waiting on the 2025? If so why? All my Lexus’ have been black and I read somewhere 2025 is going to have a black one which is why I would consider. Looking forward to reading the posts in this forum and learning more about thoughts on the 550

Hello and welcome to the GX Forum! I decided to skip the 2024 model a few months back due to other priorities. I’m still interested in getting one but will hold off to see if there are any changes for 2025.
They will certainly fix the roof rack.....
I considered waiting for the 2025 model based off some of the problems discussed on this forum. Decided to go for it and felt there would always be another reason to hold off. In Sept picked up a caviar premium plus. Really enjoying the vehicle and glad I decided to pick up the 2024.

Howdy from a fellow Texan up north of Dallas. I put my name on the list at one of the local dealers in the middle of June and am still waiting. If I end up with a '25 that'll be fine, but I'd also be happy with a '24. As for black, I had a black Silverado 2500HD 20 years ago. Black looks great but it was a pain to keep clean so it looks good - black shows dirt more than any other color I've had. Also, that truck got hotter than any other vehicle I've had when it was parked outside in the summer. I told the salesperson I'd take either white or silver. Like I said though, black looks great!
Fellow Texan here from HTown. Got on the list mid Sept 2024 for a Lux+. Not in a hurry so when given the option to wait for 25 figured that was the move. Mainly just old superstitions about not buying the first year of a new model. I'm an old. Definitely thinking a few issues identified in the forum(hood flutter, roof rack noise, passenger seat massager) will get resolved in 25. Have enjoyed this forum seeing various tire mods and also learning about more about PPF.

So right. Love my black GX when clean and shiny but that is short lived. Deposit is for the white. I’m going to quit second guessing myself and stick with 2024 since I was told 2025 wouldn’t be available until this time next year with minimal changes. Thanks for talking me off the ledge
