Main Display Nav Starts In Dark Mode With Stripe

Is anyone else experiencing their screen starting in dark mode in the day time with a white stripe across the top? Mine does so randomly. All other functions, car play, radio, etc are in day mode. Picture attached.

Yes this happen to me but the. The next time I got in the car it was fine

Thanks! Yes, it goes away after restart or turning display off and on.
Has happened to me at least 5 times so far. The dealer is trying ti figure out if they are going to replace the display.

Does your nav day mode have a subtle white stripe as well. I’m guessing that’s not normal either.

Mine has started in dark mode a few times. I believe the white strip at the top is to simulate distance when it's in 3D mode.

I believe it's normal in day mode but there shouldn't be a stripe on dark mode.

I have no idea what's normal. Mine was fluctuating between dark and light mode yesterday but I was driving at dawn and it was that odd time when the headlights would occasionally come back on when driving through and underpass. Each time I had the light line across the top, which can't be normal for dark mode.

Mine does that fairly often. I think it has something to do with syncing to CarPlay on my iPhone, and when it is synced relative to how soon I start the car. The built in Lexus map will be in dark mode, but if I switch to Google maps it will be in daylight mode. It will stay like that until I turn the car off and back on.

This is a known problem and is supposed to be fixed with a future software update. The problem is the map gets stuck in day or night mode so the strip at the top is the right color but the map itself isn’t.

I just have my system set to be permanently in night mode and thus haven’t had any issue.
