Mud Guard

Did u ask the dealer if it comes with hardware?
No hardware (or installation instructions), mudguards arrived today, but front ones appear to use existing hardware, holes line up. Super easy to install. Rear are a different story, will need to make some holes and need either plugs/screws.

For the rear mudguards, they attach to the inner wheel well lower than any current screws/clips. There are small indentations on where the guard holes line up (see pictures). They have a rearward extension that does line up with two bolts under the rear bumper (also see pictures). So I just need to find out if they’re screw holes or if they’re the clips/fasteners. I plan on reaching out to the dealer to see if there’s an installation document on them. If anyone knows - let me know. Hopefully this is helpful. On the picture for stock numbers - these are the Overtrail+ spec (since I have an OT+ that’s what I ordered).

Do you have an update on installation. I’m hoping they will fit the Luxury +. I am shocked Lexus didn’t make one. Running boards covered in dirt and above. My LX F-Sport came w nice ones. Any help appreciated.

Here’s a diagram a Lexus parts guy sent me with the hardware parts. I’m about to make an installation post, I didn’t use the plugs on the rear, I used the screws instead.

Ok, here’s a post after rear mudguards installation - hardware arrived today, super easy to install for the most part. I was being careful and maybe took 15mins.

I’ll try and attach pictures to help, I was sent a diagram that included part numbers for the hardware. Instead of the clip, I used an additional screw with washer (see diagram).

First, I placed the spring nuts on the indentions where screws will go inside the wheel well. Then, I took out the existing screws on the bottom of rear bumper behind the wheel well and placed the mudguard and then reinstalled the same screws - it holds the mudguard in place. Then I went into the wheel well and placed the top screw. Make sure to pull it flush with the line of the bumper and then tighten. I then placed screws in the other two holes. The hole furthest away in the wheel well is supposed to have a plastic clip, but I just ordered an extra screw and used one instead, it seems to have good seating in the plastic and is tight.

See some pictures below and happy to answer any questions, but it was pretty easy. As mentioned on previous post, the front mudguards use all the existing screws/clips, so no new hardware needed there.

I used 6 screws with 4 spring nuts - ordered them from lexuspartsnow.com as they were way cheaper than getting them through a dealer. They seem to be OEM

I would assume so based on the part description, but not 100% sure - I ordered all these blindly as I could not find any diagrams anywhere.

I chatted with my local dealer parts guy, he said he could special order them but by doing so, they wouldn’t be returnable if they didn’t fit. So since that was the case, I just ordered them through the cheapest dealer’s online site I could find - Lexus of Wesley Chapel in FL. Their parts guy helped me out by sending the diagram of the hardware, which I ordered from lexuspartsnow.com as they seemed to be the cheapest for those. Per the parts guy, mudguards are not characterized as accessories in the Lexus parts system, so they don’t come with hardware or installation instructions.

I Ordered these for my GX550 Luxury Plus and they are correct for that Model. Lexus Dealer Part Numbers below

It took a little time at first as the tires in the back were tough to work around with 2 of the screws. They look amazing and fit perfect. Lux + has the Running boards that drop down when the door is open and I checked before install and no issues.

For the fronts, there are two screws you unscrew and there is a 3rd space where there is a plastic Plug. I pulled it out and realized after a bit of time, you take a screw driver to pop the center out so you can use it again. If you do not, it won't go back into the hole and "pop" fastened.

The backs were also pretty easy except I struggled with the middle and inner most to work around the wheel. I used a screw in all three front places, but used two clips on the outer holes that are pre marked. I just pushed a nail through the plastic not too big but for the screw to catch and go in. The 2 underneath screws lined up perfectly. So 5 Screws in the back. 2 in the front and "pop plug" taken out and put back in.

I took the risk that these were correct for a NON Overtrail Model, and they were and OEM. Very Nice. I want to thank SVEC OT + for all your input and direction. I'm a bit of a novice and without your data, I wouldn't be able to figure it out. So thank you and my car thanks you.
