Would you mind sharing the updated wheel and the options? Any scrubbing that you could feel or hear when off roading?Did a little flexing in the 550 Overtrail outside Estes Park, CO. Stock suspension with a little wider and more offset wheel and wider tires. Kept the stock height on the tire also. Wifes daily driver so did not push as hard as I could but the 550 took on the Undulation, Rocky Terrain and Vertical Rock Climbs like a champ. Approach angle is a little low but that just makes you look for better climbing lines.
20x9 +20 offset. 275/60/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Zero Rub. Full Flex. Stock Suspension. Bottomed out the muffler on descent once but not the bumper.Would you mind sharing the updated wheel and the options? Any scrubbing that you could feel or hear when off roading?
No tire rub/no mods required. 33" is no big deal for these wheel wells. Is there any tyre rub underneath after fitting these or did you need to do any modifications?
So in theory then we can just up the tyre wall size of the stock Toyo Tyres to 275 and they would fit too without messing with new rims with different offsets? No tire rub/no mods required. 33" is no big deal for these wheel wells.
I did get a dent on my left rear bumper plastic piece but no buggy. The video made it look very tough. How did you and the truck come out of it. Looks like an awesome trip
It’s a removable hitch tire/gear carrier and has a hitch extension so you can still tow with it. I won’t be doing a permanent bumper, it sets off the parking sensors and I don’t like that I have to swing out to open the tail gate. Plus I can’t open it with the garage door closed. I remove it when not in use and have a full set of stock tires and wheels as well.Love the way you moved your spare to the back, does it compromise your towing functionality and would you be looking at a full rear bumper with built in rear wheel carrier swing away like they do for the LC 300:
Sounds like you have it sorted! It’s a removable hitch tire/gear carrier and has a hitch extension so you can still tow with it.
