Our local off-road shop installed the Ready Lift 66-54100 leveling kit on our 2024 GX550 Overtrail. After installation, the shop could not mount the sway bar center support bracket due to a 1" gap between the bracket and the mounting point. After a test drive with the center support bracket removed, they advised that its absence would not compromise driveability. I drove the vehicle home and immediately noticed that when hitting bumps at lower speeds, the front end has a noticeable clunking sound and is felt in the steering wheel, which is easily discernible on a gravel road.

Has anyone encountered this issue when lifting the front of an Overtrail model?
Does the EKDSS need to be bled down to reinstall the mounting bracket to the original location, then EKDSS rebled?
Or maybe fabricate a spacer for the sway bar center support bracket?

3-20-25 Update: The sway bar and KDSS are set on the skid plate, which surely is causing the clunking noise.
Released the KDSS. Reinstalled the sway bar center support. Found that the sway bar end link bolts were left loose. Retighted the bolts and checked all other bolts. The clunking noise is gone. Alignment is good. It drives just as nicely as it did on day one. Thanks everyone for the thoughts.

Yikes...that doesn't look good. Have you contacted readylift? Knowing that they already said it was not compatible, I would suck it up and pay to go back to stock until you can figure it out if you need to be able to drive the GX. Your not doing yourself any favors by trying to "make it work".

The clunking is likely the bracket hitting the chassis since the sway is only supported at the ends

It appears you were correct. The sway bar is resting on the skid plate. See the update in the original post.

Ouch, leaving a bracket off and saying “it’s fine” and not checking all bolts are rookie moves for sure (by the shop, not you). You should get your money back from the shop and pay yourself!

Any updates on this? I am actually curious about how you like the lift besides the part where someone left pieces hanging and called it a day.

I have no intentions on driving this thing off-road besides some gravel so mostly looking for a mild lift to level the front. Will be sticking with a 285/70/17 when it’s time and the RL seems to fit the mold of what I am looking for.

Whenever you have a moment, would love some driving impressions.

We will be hitting the road tomorrow on a trip with a total drive time of 12 hours. I'll report back then.
