Our GX550 Luxury+ started having squeaky brakes after only a couple thousand miles.

Most brake pads have a metal tab that squeaks when braking in reverse to indicate the brake pad is thin. That's exactly what we're getting, only when braking in reverse.

Anyone else experienced this? We're about to take it in for its 5K service, and they didn't mention anything about any recalls or outstanding warranty items.

Thank you.

Yes. Experiencing the same squeak in reverse and very low speed in Drive (think garage entry). I am at 6mos/6k miles. No mention of a problem at my 5k mile service check.

Guys, there’s an official TSB on this from Lexus. Call your dealer. Be prepared to wait on the parts though. Good luck

I was just told parts would be available in December 2025 (SW Houston). Wow. Thankfully not a safety issue, but that's a long lead time for brake parts.

Something wrong with these Houston dealers. Their wait times for vehicles & parts is 10x longer than anywhere else
