The iPhone app automatically appeared on my watch after loading the Lexus app.

Here is a complete listing of what you can do from your wrist:

  • remote engine start and stop
  • lock / unlock
  • control hazards
  • control lights
  • control horn
  • control buzzer
  • trunk lock / unlock
  • check fuel level / range / miles to empty
  • display vehicle status issues, if any
  • display tire pressures for each tire
  • show location of vehicle last parked on map
  • displays VIN of vehicle

Just wanted to acknowledge the outstanding work by Lexus and software developers on the I-Watch app. Definitely worth checking out…

Did you have to get a 2nd data line for your watch incase you are not carrying your phone?

Actually I don’t have a second data line. I have a series 3 iwatch, but if you don’t have your phone nearby you might need a later generation watch with built in gps / data this to work.

Thanks for pointing this out. I think the watch app companion is new (I dont remember seeing it when I downloaded the phone app).

Yep - checked and looks like you do need to have a separate date line for the watch - I have the Ultra 2 and it was something like $12/month for the line

I do not have cell service for my watch, only tied to my phone and it works perfectly.

Anyone know if there is an Android option?
I second this question. Per the Lexus site, they DO support android smart watches, but not Samsung Gear Smartwatches - so it seems a bit conflicted.

I tried just the watch in my garage and it operated the GX as expected. However, my garage is on wifi, so my watch and phone (in the house) were on the same network. That may have made it function. I'll try it away from the house with the phone not around. Given your experience, I expect to be disapppointed!
